The Third New Jersey Regiment, The "Jersey Blues"

You have reached the updated page of the Third New Jersey Regiment. New Jersey's most famous historical unit, the recreated Third New Jersey started with a handful of founders back in 1963. Today the unit has grown to include members from New York State to North Carolina and many places in between, including of course; New Jersey.

The Third New Jersey is a proud member of the Brigade of the American Revolution. The Brigade, or BAR (said by pronouncing each letter individually, not like the bar you get a beer at) is a National Historical Association, founded in 1962, dedicated to recreating the life and times of the common soldier of our War of Independence 1775-1783. Recreated regiments include U.S. Continentals such as the 3rd NJ, Rifleman, Militia, British Regulars, Hessians, French and Loyalists (Tories).
